For exactly a year now observing has returned to me as my main activity in life. I suddenly remembered that I was an artist first and foremost. Taking part is of course vitally important, but sometimes observation is a better, or your only option. Lying in a  hospital bed or a chemo therapy chair force you to become interested in detail and behaviour and colour and light again.
